In our ongoing efforts to support the French Immersion Program in Thames Valley, the French Portfolio is working to facilitate French Immersion Registration for incoming Grade 1 students for September 2022. Due to the challenges presented by Covid-19, the registration process will be altered slightly and in-person information nights and visits to feeder schools will not be possible.

B) Reminders about the Registration Process
• Our board website is currently being updated with regards to Registration for the 2022-2023 school year and should reflect current dates and processes very soon.
• Note that a student’s French Immersion School is determined by their primary address. The attendance area for some English schools feeds into more than one French Immersion school depending on each student’s primary address.
• Parents/guardians are encouraged to visit the TVDSB website to access the “Find My School” tool in order to determine their designated French Immersion School.
• Please note that Oliver Stephens will offer a dual track system commencing September 2022 in order to support the Woodstock Attendance Area Review. More information can be found at this link.
• Grade 1 is the only possible entry point into the French Immersion Program unless a student is coming directly from a program where at least 50% of the instruction has been in French.
• We encourage all parents/guardians to register their child during the designated registration window of January 17 – February 4, 2022 to facilitate adequate staffing for the new school year.
• The last possible date for Grade 1 French Immersion Registration is September 30 of the school year.
• Students must be 6 years of age by December 31st, 2022 to register for Grade 1.
Thank you very much for your ongoing support of the French Immersion Program in Thames Valley.
